SENIOR HOUSING PLANNED FOR ST. BERNARD

Plans are going forward for a 42-unit senior housing development in St. Bernard.  This is a HUD-financed 202 senior living center for individuals over the age of 62 years.  Volunteers of America Ohio River Valley received a $4.7 million HUD grant to begin construction of the housing development.  The City of St. Bernard unanimously voted to enter into a sales agreement with Volunteers of America Ohio River Valley for a 1-acre site on the corner of Greenlee and Ross.  Cole and Russell Architectural Firm is completing the design phase.  The senior housing development is expected to break ground by mid-2010.  Construction is expected to take 9-12 months, allowing our first tenants to potentially move in to the center by early 2011.

VETERANS FACILITY TO BECOME A REALITY!
Great news!   The Federal Home Loan Bank approved our capital grant request of nearly $1 million to construct a Veterans facility in Camp Washington.  We hope to begin construction of the Veterans facility in the later part of 2010.
