Become A Volunteer!

There are many different reasons why people volunteer their time and energy to a specific organization or cause, but statistics show that more people came to volunteering because they were asked, either by an organization or by a friend or relative, than in any other way.  So, while you’re passing through the volunteer opportunities listed on our Web site, we kindly ask you, “Will you become one of our volunteers?”

Here, at Volunteers of America Ohio River Valley, we match people with opportunities to serve individuals who are least served by other organizations.   Are you interested in youth, seniors, disabled adults, corrections, housing, education, fundraising, maintenance, reading, or even writing letters?   We have many areas where you can fit in.   Just let us know your interests, as well as the amount of time you can volunteer, and we will match your abilities with a positive volunteer experience.

Whatever choice you make when deciding what volunteer opportunity is right for you, remember that it only takes a little bit of time and effort to make a difference in the life of another.

To join our list of volunteers, please apply for one of the volunteer opportunities listed below.  Once we receive your application, a staff member will call or email you to discuss our current volunteer opportunities.

Thank You!
